Based in Frederick, Maryland, our rookie team designed this robot from scratch for the 2025–2026 FIRST Tech Challenge game, DECODE. Every subsystem was iterated through multiple prototypes, from V1 plywood frames to final 3D-printed and polycarbonate builds.
Our robot features a custom Parallel Plate drivetrain, an active Gecko Wheel intake, a rubber band ramp transfer, and a single Rhino Flywheel shooter, all controlled through a Java codebase built on Pedro Pathing for autonomous precision.
The same engineering philosophy that earned us the Design Award at Alexandria Qualifier I is documented in our Engineering Portfolio, covering every design iteration, tradeoff, and lesson learned.
Awarded to the team that demonstrates the most elegant and professional engineering design, including clear technical documentation in the Engineering Portfolio. We're proud that our design approach was recognized in our very first season.
