Our Outreach Mission

Fear of Bot is committed to building awareness of FIRST Tech Challenge and inspiring students of all ages to pursue robotics and STEM education. We engage directly with our community through events, hands-on demonstrations, and mentorship opportunities.

We participated in several community events throughout the 2025-26 season, bringing hands-on robotics experiences to families and students of all ages.

Connected with families at a cultural celebration, showcasing our robot and introducing FIRST to a diverse audience in the community.

Set up at a major community event where hundreds of visitors got hands-on experience driving our robot and learning about FTC.

Our Activities

Hands-On Robotics Experiences

We provide interactive demonstrations where community members can see our robot in action, learn about subsystems, and understand the engineering behind FTC robotics.

Interactive Robot Operation

We encourage visitors to take control of our robot, experiencing firsthand the complexity and excitement of operating a competition-ready FTC robot.

FIRST Program Awareness

We share information about the FIRST program, FTC, and career opportunities in STEM with families and students interested in robotics and engineering.

Family Engagement

We connect with parents and students who show interest in FIRST, providing guidance about joining FTC teams or starting FLL teams.

Community Network Building

Throughout our outreach efforts, we have collected contact information from approximately 125 community members interested in FIRST, creating a network for future engagement.

Working with our local municipality to bring robotics and FIRST awareness to community events and initiatives.

Future Outreach Plans

FLL Workshop

Host an FLL (FIRST LEGO League) workshop for the approximately 125 contacts we have collected. This will provide hands-on introduction to FIRST for younger students and their families.

Ongoing Engagement

Keep our interested contacts updated about FIRST program developments, events, and opportunities throughout the year.

Mentorship Network

Reach out to interested contacts about mentoring and coaching opportunities for new FLL and FTC teams starting in our community.

Expand Community Reach

Continue to participate in and expand our presence at community events to inspire more students to pursue robotics and STEM.
